Tuesday I had the fun opportunity to check out the new Whole Foods Market that is opening tomorrow in Danbury. As most of you already know, I am a huge Whole Foods fan. So I was thrilled to have the chance to tour the store and get a glimpse of what goes into putting a Whole Foods Market together. The attention to detail is crazy. They really do think of everything. Even the hand drawn art that you see throughout the store is done by a team of artists. Who knew? The Danbury location is full of local history. Marcus Dairy is a big influence in this store and there is even a Burgers & Shakes Bar that was inspired from the history of Marcus Dairy and the famous Dairy Bar Restaurant.
I am excited to try the retro-inspired desserts that will be available in the Bakery Department. Think Twinkies people! My kids are going to love the all natural slushies. My family loves the prepared foods section and my husband can not wait to try the stir-fry bar!
Not only did I get to tour the new store, I was able to meet up with some of my local blogging friends. That is always a huge bonus! Such a great time. The team in Danbury is amazing and they are SO ready for this store to open.

I need to try those crisp, cracker looking things made entirely of cheese! If you go to the grand opening tomorrow come back here and leave me a comment and let me know how you liked it and what your thoughts were. Are you as excited about it as I am? Or am I just a complete dork?
